Annual gross pay of each offer, using the paid weeks per year above.
How it is calculated
- Annual = hourly × hours/week × paid weeks/year; weekly = annual ÷ weeks; monthly = annual ÷ 12.
- BLS annual wages assume year-round, full-time work of 2,080 hours, which matches the defaults of 40 hours and 52 weeks.
- The benchmark places your annual figure among the published 10th, 25th, 50th, 75th and 90th percentiles for the area you choose.
Worked example
The U.S. median hourly wage of $27.67 × 40 hours × 52 weeks = $57,553.60, which BLS rounds to $57,550.
Limits
- Results are gross pay. Taxes, benefits, tool allowances, flat-rate or commission pay and bonuses are not modeled.
- Percentiles describe the spread of wages across the whole occupation in May 2025. They are not predictions of what a specific person will earn, nor experience levels.
- Overtime is a scenario you configure; whether it is owed, and at what rate, depends on the FLSA, state law and your employment terms.
